DAY 01
Upon arrival Yangon

Departure from Bangkok to Yangon, meet your guide in Yangon international airport and transfer to hotel. Tour of Yangon City includes Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda - a colossal reclining Buddha Image, Sule Pagoda surrounded by colonial era buildings in the heart of city. See many different lives of people, Yangon jetty. Continue to Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) market and evening visit to Shwedagon Pogoda - over 2500 years old and world famous stupa. Your first night of stay at Royal lake side Kandawgyi Palace

DAY 02
Yangon – Mandalay
 
Meals: B
Early morning breakfast at hotel and car transfer to airport to fly to Mandalay. Meet local guide and car at Mandalay airport. Transfer to your hotel in Mandalay. Today sightseeing in Mandalay will be: Maha Myat-muni pagoda - a bronze Buddha Image cast during the life-time of Buddha himself, Atumshi monastry, and Mandalay palace. Afternoon and evening visit Kuthodaw pagoda - known as the world biggest book of Buddhist teachings, Shwe Inn Bin monastry - noted for its exquisite wood carvings and Mandalay famous local craft industries such as gold-leaf making, Embroidery work etc. Evening time will be on Mandalay hill to have panoramic views of Mandalay plain and its environ at sunset.

DAY 03
Mandalay - Mingun - Sagaing – Amarapura (Inwa)

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning we will arrange a private boat trip from Mandalay to Mingun on the Ayeyarwaddy river (11km upriver boat trip from Mandalay). Visit one of the world's largest, Mingun bell, and the un-finished yet still massive Mingun Pahto-daw-gyi Pagoda, etc. Back to Mandalay by boat and continue by car to Sagaing on the western bank of the Ayreyarwaddy. Visit "Kaung Mu Daw" pagoda, silver workshops, and the Sagaing hill range dotted with pagodas and meditation centers. You can also have a panoramic view from the hill. Late afternoon cross the Ayeyarwaddy river and visit Amarapura (an ancient capital of Kongbaung Dynasty in 1783). Visit Mahar-ga-na-yone monastry to observe the daily life of the monks studying Buddha's scriptures, Kyauktawgyi pagoda, local silk and cotton weaving industry. Then proceed to another old capital, Innwa, a small town close to Amarapura. Visit "Nan Myint" watch tower, "Maha-Aung-Mye- Bonzon" monastry and "Bagara monastry". Then stroll on the U Bein bridge (2km long wooden bridge across Taung Tha Man lake) at sunset time.

DAY 04
Amarapura – Cruise down to Bagan (daily depart on MON, TUE, THU, FRI or SAT only)

Early breakfast, or pack the breakfast and lunch boxes and drinking water. Transfer to the boat jetty. Today is a boat trip on the Ayeyarwaddy river down to the 11th century buddhist archaeological site at Bagan. Back to the old times!! The boat is a double decker tourist and public boat, seats in halls, roofs, decks, common toilets, a restaurant. It leaves Mandalay jetty at 6 am, stops at a couple of places. You will see the local villages, fishing boats, small cargo boats, firms on the river banks, bull carts - the life on and along the largest river of Myanmar. Or read your famous book on the deck. Arrive Bagan jetty in the evening. Car transfer to your hotel in Old Bagan.

DAY 05
Bagan
 
Meals: B
Breakfast at hotel. Today you will have full day sightseeing in and around of Bagan and Nyaung U together with Bagan local guide. There are thousands of ancient monuments. High lights for visit are Shwezigon pagoda - the prototype for later Myanmar pagodas, Ananda temple - a master piece of King Kyansittha, Thatbyinnyu temple - the highest builiding in the Bagan plain, Dhamma Yangyi temple - the most massive temple, Htilo Minlo temple - the largest temple of Bagan and Gubyaukgyi temple in Myinkaba village, etc.
Late afternoon, visit to Bagan famous lacquarware making cottage industry. In the evening, take a sunset view of Bagan and its environ from a high platform of Shwesandaw Pagoda. There will be ancient temples all around you, the ayeyarwaddy being behind them, and Tent Kyi hills are on the western bank. Beyond that the sun sets.

DAY 06
Bagan - Mount Popa - Yangon
 
Meals: B
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, excursion to Mt. Popa at 50 km south-east of Bagan. On the way to Mt Popa, you will see lives in villages, toddy brewery. Mt. Popa is an extinct volcano of more than 1500 meters high above sea level. You will however visit the volanic plug (736 meters high cone shape small hill built up of lava and rocks) on the slope of the main Popa. There are many pagodas, monasteries and sprit houses there. In the early afternoon back to Bagan. Evening transfer to Nyaung U airport to fly back to Yangon. In Yangon, car transfer to your hotel.

Yangon – Departure

Breakfast at hotel. Free at your leisure. We will send you to airport for your departure to the next destination.
